I felt quite the fool today. I went to the sub shop on campus for lunch, as I often do. Wait, wait, wait in line. Order sammich. Wait, wait, wait to pay for sammich. I finally get up to the check-out dude. He swipes my card.

Student: My application checklist says I need to submit a transcript from [some college]. I don't know why it says that. I never went there.
Me: Okay, let's take a look (pull up application). Well on your application you chose [some college] as the place you earned your bachelor's degree.
Student: Well I don't know why it says that. I only went to [other college].
Me: So...you're telling me...that you chose a different school than you actually attended? And didn't notice?
Student: Yeah, I guess so. Can you fix it?
Me: Yeah. Sure. I can do that...(brain matter, splattered on wall)
